The Calhoun City Wildcats won three of five games over the past week to improve to 5-3 on the season.
They swept a pair from O’bannon last Saturday, 18-1 and 11-2. Chris Easley and Joseph Gray picked up the wins. Steele Liles earned the save in game two.
Gray helped himself with two hits in the 11-2 win. Seven different Wildcats had a hit in the 18-1 victory.
They defeated Amory earlier last week 5-2. Jace Leachman improved to 2-0 on the mound. Leachman, Jordan England and Travone Petty each had two hits in the game.
They suffered an 8-1 loss to Saltillo. Evan Parker took the loss. Liles hit a double.
Monday they were beaten 12-11 by Houlka. Parker took the loss. Petty, Liles, England and Kemon Hall all had multiple hits.
The Wildcats are scheduled to play Hebron and Vardaman Saturday at Vardaman.
