Mildred McNamee Cagle, 77, of Malvern, passed away April 8, 2014 in a Houston, TX hospital. She was born on November 4, 1936 to Gladys and William M. Patterson in Pittsboro. She lived in Malvern for many years and was very active in local community groups. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Malvern since 1968 and a member of the Malvern Lions Club. She worked all her life as an RN. She worked at the Malvern Hospital as an OR and ER nurse. She was also the director of the Hot Spring County Health Department until she retired. She loved to travel and to dance. She was also a master gardener. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years John H. McNamee and her son, William “Bill” McNamee. She is also preceded in death by her second husband, John Cagle and her two brothers, J.C. and James Patterson. She is survived by her son John (Cyndie) McNamee, Houston, TX; her grandson, Blake McNamee, also of Houston, TX, and her cousin and special friend, Jill Finley, Magnet Cove. She is also survived by too many friends to list that she loved dearly. Funeral services were Monday, April 14, in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Bro. LeVon Post officiated. Interment was at Oakridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Blake McNamee, Craig Burnett, Kinney Black, Mark Roberts, Roger Coomer and Charlie Gibbs.
