Vardaman Lady Rams took a 1-0 series lead on Jumpertown while the Bruce Lady Trojans fell behind in their playoff series Wednesday evening.
The Lady Rams defeated Jumpertown 9-2 with Grace Edmondson earning the win. The Lady Rams will play game two, and tree if necessary, today at Jumpertown.
The series winner advances to play the Hamilton-St Joe winner in the third round.
The Lady Trojans were defeated 10-3 at home Wednesday night. They will need a sweep of both games today at Riverside to advance in the playoffs.
Calhoun City Wildcat baseball team will begin their second round playoff series today at Baldwyn at 6 p.m. Game two is Friday night at ‘City at 7 p.m.
