Four different fire departments were called to the scene of a fire that has destroyed the elementary school building in Houlka.
The fire was first reported shortly after 1 p.m.
The giant flames from the roof of the building were visible from beyond the town limits.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
School is scheduled to begin next week. We will have more on this story as information becomes available.
