John Fred “Pete” Bardo, 58, Big Creek, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born December 3, 1955 to John Louis Bardo and Mae Perry Bardo in Grenada. He was retired maintenance worker of Med-Lift and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral service was Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City, with Bro. Jimmy Bryan and Bro. John Warren officiating. Burial was in Mt Nebo Cemetery in Big Creek. Pryor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Steven Havens, Michael Havens, Carl Havens, A.D. Blount, Cyle Havens, Colby Havens, David Hallum and Dewayne McGee. He is survived by his wife Sharon McGee Bardo; daughter, Cristal Rutherford; son, John Clifton “Cliff” Bardo; father, John L. Bardo; all of Big Creek; two sisters, Linda (A.D.) Blount, Calhoun City, and Cathy (Chris) McGee, Big Creek; four grandchildren, Hailey Aline Rutherford, Jamie Brooke Rutherford, Kylie McCade Moore, Ryan Cole Dickey, and two great-grandchildren, Avilin Rutherford and Kaylyn Rutherford, and several nieces and nephews.
