Bruce High School Senior Canon Benefield, left, was the recipient of the United States Marines Youth Award for Musical Excellence at the recent Bruce Band Banquet. Senior Grayson Denley, right, was the recipient of the John Phillip Sousa Award. The award is a nationally recognized award given primarily to a senior who exhibits outstanding leadership, musicality, responsibility, and has a true spirit of being a great band member.
