Calhoun Academy returns to action this Friday traveling 139 miles to take on North River Christian in Tuscaloosa.

The Cougars are coming off an off week during which they focused on fundamentals and getting healthy.
“We still have four out with injuries,” Coach Tim Melton said. “We’ll have 13 available to play Friday night.”
North River, located on the north side of Tuscaloosa, is 1-3 on the season, but Melton said “they’re a lot better than their record indicates.”
“They run an option offense that we’ll have to stop and prevent them from getting to the outside,” Melton said. “Offensively for us, we just have to find our rhythm and we should be able to move the ball.”
The Cougars are scheduled to leave around 2 p.m. Friday headed to Tuscaloosa.
