Bennett Chase Collins, 20 of Pontotoc, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 in Oxford. He was born in Tupelo on September 6, 1994. He was a 2013 graduate of South Pontotoc High School and was employed by Center Plate Concessions & Catering for U.M. He was a member of West Heights Baptist Church, and enjoyed tennis, basketball, and he loved music.
Surviving are his mother Paula Long Clark, Madison; his father, Darren Leon (Susan) Collins, Pontotoc; one sister, Alison Clark, Madison; grandparents, Larry Leon (Mam) Collins, Bruce; Patricia (Jimmy) Swink, Wetumpka, Al. and Larry (JoAnne) Long, Vardaman; step-brothers Zack Kimmett, Jackson; James Kimmett, Tupelo, and Austin Kimmett, Pontotoc. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia Long.
His funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Starling Browning, Coley Cox, Dustin Crum, Patrick Heath, Nick Jackson, Chad Stewart, Jacob Williams and Thomas Williams.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce.
