Frank Carrol Daniel, 81, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at his home in Houston. He was born January 28, 1933, in Pontotoc County to Ether Vardaman Daniel and Luvedia Cannon Daniel. He was a barber for 15 years, in the auto parts business for 14 years, had the first Dollar Store in Houston for 18 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Houston, and was a Veteran of the US Army.
His funeral service was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Roger McGrew and Rev. Rex Wilborn officiating. Burial followed at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Washington Daniel, Houston; his daughter, Vickie (Edward) Birmingham, Houston; his son, Dean (Patti) Daniel, Houston; his grandchildren, Christopher Daniel, Houston; Felicia Daniel, Nashville; Molly Birmingham, Houston, and Bethany Birmingham, Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred Daniel. Pallbearers were Gene Dallas, Jimmy Ferguson, Jim Earp, Don McCarver, Bobby Mooneyham and Raymond Roland.
