Jeanne P. Bingham, 77, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at her residence. Born and raised in Vardaman, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Terrell Perkins and Vivian Vanhorn Perkins. She married her husband, Jimmie A. Bingham, on December 23, 1953 moving to Vicksburg in 1965. She was employed by the Jitney Jungle Green Stamp Store and later by Sears in the old Battlefield Mall. She retired from Sears in Jackson, and later managed the Sears Franchise Store in Vicksburg. She was member of the Junior Auxiliary and was an avid bridge enthusiast. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie A. Bingham; two sons, Gregory Bingham and James Barry Bingham, both of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Matthew Bingham and Lacy Greer; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elizabeth Pewick, Houston; Ann Morgan, Memphis; Charlene Smith, Memphis, and Helen Patino, Pearl.
Services will be Saturday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Matt Buckles, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home until the hour of service. Interment will be Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at Bradford Chapel Cemetery in Calhoun County.Memorials may be made to Bradford Chapel Cemetery Fund 1165 James Road, Gore Springs, MS 38929.
