Two Calhoun City brothers were arrested for simple assault and armed robbery Monday.
Jaquavis Armstrong, 17, and James Avant, 19, were charged for the attack on Leandro Ramos of Vardaman on Feb. 7.
Deputy Kenneth White said that Ramos got into the vehicle with someone at the pool hall in Vardaman and this person took Ramos to CR 428 where they met up with Armstrong and Avant.
White said that they took him out of the other truck at gunpoint, hit him three times in the head with a pistol and beat him up. They took $200 from him, before leaving.
Ramos called a friend to pick him up and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.
Armstrong and Avant are both charged with simple assault and robbery and remain incarcerated at the Calhoun County Jail.
