Join us at Jesse Yancy Memorial Library in Bruce on Tuesday, Mar. 17 at Noon for a Brown Bag Luncheon with guest author, Merle Temple.

Temple is the author of “A Ghostly Shade of Pale” and “A Rented World.”
“A Ghostly Shade of Pale,” the first in a Southern trilogy and the all time bestselling novel at the Barnes and Noble store in Tupelo, was just chosen as required reading for all English students at Itawamba Junior College.

K-12 schools, including Winston Academy in Louisville, have used it in English classes.
Criminal Minds’ Jim Clemente endorsed both books and said, “Temple is a great storyteller writing to all of your senses.”
Merle signed the first one for the cast in Hollywood, met with producers, and did radio and TV interviews in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills where reviewers called his first book, “evocative of the great Southern writers.”

A screenplay is under development now. Both books are available at Amazon.com and many local bookstores.
Merle Temple is a native of Mississippi and a graduate of Ole Miss. He and his wife, Judy, live in Tupelo. Dessert and coffee will be served. Books will be available for purchase/signing following the program.

Also be sure to drop by for the Friends of the Library Winter Book Sale which ends Saturday, Mar. 21. All items are $2 or less. Take advantage of the “Go Green” sale: bring your own reusable bag from home, fill it up with sale items, and pay just $2.
Look for more information about these and other programs on the library’s Facebook page, “Fans of the Jesse Yancy Memorial Library.”
