The Bruce Trojans are the rare breed of team these days that is actually getting to play a little baseball.
The Trojans stepped on to the field three times last week, winning twice.
They defeated South Pontotoc 3-2 behind a complete game from Broc Peden.
He struck out four and allowed only two earned runs in seven innings of work.
Cade Clark and Brandon Williams each had two hits in the win.

The Trojans followed that with a 13-2 win over Potts Camp.
Clark had three hits in that win, including a double and a home run. Williams had two hits and Wesley Ross added a double.
Taylor Brown and Hunter Potts both pitched in the victory.
The loss came early last week to Pontotoc 19-3. Bryant King suffered the defeat on the mound.
Joshua Bryant and Colton Brower recorded the only two Trojan hits. Brower’s was a home run.

The Trojans swept two games from Okolona Tuesday night – 16-0 and 21-0 – their first two region games of the year. They travel to South Pontotoc Friday and Saturday will play at Potts Camp at 12 and 2 p.m. and Myrtle at 5 and 7 p.m.
