Vardaman’s Sydney Huffman pitched a near perfect game in the Lady Rams’ 1-0 win over Water Valley Tuesday night.

Huffman pitched seven shutout, no-hit innings. The only base-runner for Water Valley in the game was a walk. Huffman struck out seven.
Anna Beth Lucius led Vardaman with two hits. Johnna Landreth had the only other hit for the Lady Rams.
The Lady Rams are scheduled to host Houlka today at 5 p.m. A win would send Vardaman to the playoffs.
They conclude the regular season hosting Tupelo Saturday and Myrtle on Monday.
