The Calhoun City Chamber of Commerce will meet July 14 with Tim Weeks and Michelle Good from the Derma WalMart presenting the program.

Weeks, WalMart manager, is the newest Chamber member. Their program will be a Shareholder’s PowerPoint presentation about WalMart.
Other dates to remember include the July 12 retirement reception for Ruth Cole at the Methodist Corner from 2-4 p.m. All friends and family are invited to attend.
Sister Judy Sinnwell of Excel has officially returned to Iowa arriving safely last week, Chamber Secretary Rose Diamond reported.
In other chamber news, Seven C’s Outfitters, David and Cresta Clark, are planning for a mid-August opening at the former Cash Shoes location on the square.
Southern Boys Rims & Wheels has opened in the former Calhoun Communications location on Hwy. 9
Tightline Barber Shop has opened in the former Southern Discount Drugs location on Hwy. 9.
Calhoun City also has a new radio station – WLGD 102.3 radio. The Journal will be reporting more on this in the near future.
