Kimuel Durrell “K.D.” Boyd, 70, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada. He was born July 23, 1944 in Monroe County, to O.E. and Lillian Tubb Boyd. He was a self-employed businessman most of his life and served as Justice Court Judge in Grenada County for two terms. He was a National Guard Veteran.
In accordance with his wishes, there are no services scheduled.
Survivors include his wife, Lurline Boyd, Grenada; daughter, Nancy Boyd (Greg) Carpenter, Charleston; son, Kimuel D. Boyd, Jr., Southaven; one sister, Peggy (Phil) Sutphin, Decatur; one brother, Dr. Claude E. (Pthom) Boyd, Auburn, AL, and two grandchildren, Jeremy W. Carpenter and Tyler Elson Boyd. He was preceded in death by his parents.
