Catherine Myrtle Marter Crutchfield, 80, of Calhoun City died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Vardaman. She was born September 23, 1934 in Grenada County. She was the daughter of Cecil Marter and Willie Spears Marter. She was retired from Calhoun Apparel and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral service was Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City with Bro. Jimmy Vance and Bro. Chris Duncan officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery in Calhoun City. Pallbearers were Doug Crutchfield, Stevie Crutchfield, Kenny Crutchfield, Jessie Parker, Terry Lane and Barry Cannon. Honorary pallbearers were Remington Crutchfield, Riley Crutchfield, Kevin Stafford, Devin Stafford, Cameron Crutchfield, Josh Parker and Coben Parker.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann McGreger, Vardaman; two sons, James Ed (Lana) Crutchfield, Calhoun City; Jason (Cherri) Crutchfield, Vardaman; five grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Kevin) Stafford, Tanya (Josh) Parker, Brittany Crutchfield, Remington Crutchfield and Riley Crutchfield and three great-grandchildren, Devin Stafford, Coben Parker and Cameron Crutchfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Crutchfield, parents, four brothers and two sisters.
