Katheryn Vine Christman, 79, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at Oxford Health and Rehab. Born in Tula to the late Arthur N. and Jewel H. Hipp Vines, she was a retired seamstress. She worked at H&H Culter and Kellwood for 27 years. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. She found great joy being outside, especially working in her flower and vegetable gardens and canning the vegetables she grew. She liked watching Wheel of Fortune and Days of Our Lives. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother.
Her funeral service was Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Flynt and Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Burial was in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Christman; a daughter, Darra Christman, and a brother, Jimmy Vines. Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Jeffrey) Miller, Oxford; a son, Eddie Earl Christman, Oxford; a sister, Nell Baker, Banner, and two grandchildren, Aaron and Justin Miller.
