Bruce, Calhoun City and Vardaman all opened the slow pitch softball season this week with the Lady Rams coming out victorious.
Vardaman opened the week with a 13-6 win over Calhoun City on Tuesday. Sydney Huffman hit a home run for the Lady Rams in that victory.
Last night, the Lady Rams won at Bruce 13-8. Sarah Wooten had a 2-run home run for Vardaman to break an 8-8 tie. Lexi Brassfield had three hits for the Lady Trojans in that loss.
Tuesday night Bruce lost to Houston 14-6 despite a four-hit night for Brooke Logan.
Calhoun City defeated Houlka last night 5-2 with Avery Bullard hitting two home runs.
Bruce plays at Winona next Thursday. Vardaman hosts Calhoun City next Thursday. The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to host Charleston on Tuesday.
