Carlton Baker makes the following statement to the voters of Calhoun County:
“I am the son of Carl and Nell Baker. My wife is Laura Bryant Baker, daughter of Steve and Kathryn Bryant. Laura and I have one daughter, Mary Katelyn.

“I am a member of the First Baptist Church Calhoun City where I currently serve as a reserve Deacon and Executive Board Member to the Calhoun Baptist Association. I am also a member of the Excel Advisory Board. I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi and a licensed insurance agent. I also work as needed at Parker Memorial Funeral Home as a Funeral Director’s Assistant and Pre-Need Sales Counselor.
“Over the last 4 years, I have served as your Circuit Clerk by filing and docketing criminal and civil court cases, enrolling and canceling judgments, issuing marriage licenses, registering voters, updating voter rolls, training poll managers, and working with Election Commissioners to ensure a smooth election process. The Circuit Clerk’s office has worked with judges, the sheriff’s department and other agencies to collect an average of $250,000 per year in fines, fees, assessments and restitution to Calhoun County and other Individuals.
