The Mississippi Municipal League (MML) named Senator Steve Hale and Representative Jim Beckett of Bruce as its 2013 Legislators of the Year at the 82nd Annual MML Conference in Biloxi.
“The Mississippi Municipal League would like to recognize these two legislative leaders as its 2013 Legislators of the Year,” said Trey Bobinger, MML Lobbyist. “Both Senator Hale and Representative Beckett have selflessly served the cities and towns of Mississippi. They understand that they serve the same constituents for reasons other than personal gain, and they have been more than willing to listen and seek input from the Mississippi Municipal League and its elected membership.”
Senator Steve Hale has been serving as Vice-Chairman of the Economic Development Committee and Representative Jim Beckett has been serving as Chairman of the Utilities Committee.
