Everett Ray Kirby, 72, of Sardis, died Monday, Oct. 26 at Oxford Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Oxford. Born November 19, 1942 in Bruce, he was the son of the late William and Janet Tedford Kirby. He was retired from Tennessee Gas Pipeline, and served in the National Guard. He attended Temple Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Sandra (Larry) Hobson, Ashland, and Cynthia Rachelle Jordan, Grenada; sister, Carolyn Hodge, Yocona; grandchildren, Les Paul Jordan, Miranda Jordan, Donnie Jordan, Penny Jordan, Cody Watawa, Katherine Hunt, Kirby Hobson, Gary Hobson, Natasha Hobson Matthews, Andrew Hobson Thibideau, Devin Kirby, William Kirby, Dustin Buice, Courtney Buice, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Bobby Gene Kirby, and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday from noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jesse Betts officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of choice. A potluck dinner will immediately follow the service at Bruce Community Center.
