David Gwyn Potts, 75, of Bruce, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at his home. He was born August 28, 1938 in Water Valley, the son of Andrew Potts and Inez Coleman Potts. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was retired from the Memphis Police Department. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F. W., and Turkey Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday from noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Turkey Creek Baptist Church. Bro. Charlie Fitts will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Carol Hagen Potts, Bruce; one son, Berry Potts, Ft. Worth, Tx.; two daughters, Cindy Bustamante, Princeton, Tx. and Michelle Gwyn Woodruff, Memphis; two sisters, Caro Daves, Olive Branch, and Sharon Howard, Covington, Tn.; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
