A house in Vardaman suffered significant damage early this morning when a truck crashed into it.
Jason Rogers, 37, who lives just across the Chickasaw County line, was traveling south on CR 446 when he feel asleep in his 2012 Ford pickup, crossed Hwy. 8 and crashed into the home of Walt Edmondson.
Vardaman Police Chief Kenny Scott said Rogers wasn’t injured in the crash, although the airbag did deploy.
The truck suffered little damage, but the house was heavily damaged, Scott said. The truck hit a corner of the house where the kitchen was located.
