Bruce square is decorated for Christmas with finishing touches going up this week. The Fine Arts Club is working on the gazebo, and the Twentieth Century Club has transformed the light posts.
The posts look like a project of the Griffin sisters– Erica and Courtney. They look awesome– with metallic mesh curls in a wreath shape at the top, white angels with “joy”, “peace,” etc. surrounded by magnolia leaves and other seasonal greenery. They really show up well.
I neglected to mention the fried turkey we had from Joe’s Market last week. After Joel did the story on turkey frying, he brought back the demo to The Journal. It was a week before Thanksgiving, and Joel asked Celia and I what we should do with it. I assume he was asking about saving it for the holiday. Neither Joel or Celia and I had ever eaten a fried turkey.
In unison we said “We are going to eat it now.”
It was so moist and juicy, and the crust, was divine.
