Hugh Anderson Hamilton, 69, of Gore Springs, died December 3, 2013 at his home. He was born July 23, 1944 in Calhoun County, the son of Hugh Gaston Hamilton and Ruby Hardin Hamilton. He was a retired insurance salesman and a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Rev. Joe Sanderson will be officiating. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery in Calhoun City. Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Skinner, Mike Collins, James Ellis Jobe, Davin Blansett, Ruben Blansett and Trent Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Hamilton, Jerold Hamilton, Ray Hamilton, Speck Poynor and Doug Pitts. Survivors include two sons, Paul Bryan Swanson (Vicki)?Hamilton, Bruce, and Brett Leigh (Dana)?Hamilton, Bruce; seven sisters, Ruth Cole, Calhoun City; Carolyn Henson, Bartlett, Tn.; Jean (Joe) Sanderson, Columbia, Mo.; Shelba (Tommy) Willis, Memphis; Gloria (Al)?Gillis, Southaven; Gwen (Larry)?Pace, Atlanta, Ga., and June (Grover)?Edington, Vardaman; one brother, Billy Burt (Doris)?Hamilton, Vardaman; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
