Annie Bell Leverett Carter, 78, of Bruce, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City. She was born October 17, 1935 in Rosedale, to the late Oliver and Fronie (Robertson)?Leverett. She was a homemaker. Her funeral service was Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Graveside-Drew Cemetery in Drew with Rev. Antoinette Goins officiating. Pallbearers were Wayne Bell, William Bell, Matt Hardin, Arthur Carter, Larry Wayne Galloway and Jean Jr. Carter. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Eugene Carter, Bruce; one daughter, Thelma Jones, Cleveland; daughter, Mary Joyce Hester, Bruce; brother, Billy Wayne Leverett, Dieball, Tx.; sister, Lillie Wars, Trinity, Tx.; five step-children, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Barney Bell; two sons, Barney Jean Bell and Clinton Bell; step-son, William Bell, and three infants, two brothers, Roger and Paul Leverett, and sister, Ella Mae Simpson.
