Julia Doss

Julia Anne Putman Doss, age 72, beautician, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-NM, in Oxford. Born March 21, 1941, in Choctaw County, she was the daughter of John Harvey Putman, Sr. and Susan Vera Bright Putman. Survivors: Marvin Earl Doss; daughter, Joy Doss Vance (Brandon) of Charleston; Son, Nathan Earl Doss (Candace) of Mount Laurel, New Jersey; 3 Sisters,  Carolyn Ruth McCoskey (Donnie Ray) of Monticello;  Glenda Douglas of Littleton, Co.;  Kathy Neal (James) of Houston; three grandchildren, Christopher Doss of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; Jennifer Doss of Mt. Laurel; Ella Vance of Charleston. Preceded in death by son, Jeffry;  sister, Peggy Harber; and brother, Harvey Putman, Jr.

 Rev. Gary Adams and Rev. John Price conducted services 11 A.M., Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the First Baptist Church where she was a member.  Karen Clements and Sue Inman provided the sacred music.

 Interment was at Old Bethany Cemetery at Slate Springs, Miss., with Womble Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
