The Vardaman couple charged with more than a dozen house burglaries around Calhoun and the surrounding area were sentenced to a combined 35 years in prison this week in Circuit Court.

Vincente Sanchez, 34, pled guilty to 11 burglaries in Calhoun County and one in Chickasaw County. He was sentenced to 25 years, 15 years suspended with 10 years to serve on three counts, each to run consecutive for a total of 30 years to serve.
His wife, Jennifer Sanchez, also pled guilty and was sentenced to 20 years, 15 years suspended, five years to serve with five years probation.
They were arrested last October after authorities found most of the stolen goods being sold out of a make-shift store on Nabors Circle in Vardaman by Rosendo Gonzales, who was also charged.
