Carol M. Davidson, 71, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Batesville on March 23, 1942. She was a resident of Bruce until 1996. After retirement from the Lane Furniture Co, she moved to Terry where she has resided for the past 17 years. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Byram. She was crazy about her grandchildren and they were crazy about her. Some of her other passions included yard working, traveling, and birds-of which none were as important to her love for her family. She was truly a “best friend” to her children and family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home at 7225 S Siwell Rd, Byram, from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. with funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Terry Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Mize, Bobby Husbands, Bobby Brown, Aubrey Brown, Robert Owens and Wes Wallace.
She is survived by her daughters; Camellia E. (Jim) Carpenter of Terry and Donna C. Edwards of Hawaii; brother, Stan B. Mize of Bruce; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Jeremy) Goddard, Montgomery, AL; Lashae Edwards, Brantley Albert and Evana Albert, all of Hawaii; Joey Mizukami, Malaysia, and one great grandchild. Mrs. Davidson was a great mother and mother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley W. Mize and Thelma Lavell Mize, and her brother Bobby E. Mize.
