Vardaman’s Brandon Walker, Bruce’s Cameron Clarke and the Calhoun City golf team all earned top five finishes in the state golf tournament Thursday.
Walker shot a 156 over the two days to finish third overall in the Class 1A tournament at Bovina.
Cameron Clarke shot a 157 to finish fourth overall in Class 2A at the state tournament at Natchez Trace Golf Club.
The Calhoun City golf team finished third overall in 2A behind Baldwyn, who clinched their fifth straight golf title, and Union. West Lincol finished fourth.
Noah Hill led Calhoun City with a 163 to finish seventh overall. Other City golfers were Jacob Ruth 173, Coleman Suber 183, Peyton Suber 207 and Cole Gary 235.
Casey Vance was Bruce’s only other golfer to advance to state. He shot a 184 to finish 13th overall.
