South Calhoun HeadStart celebrated 50 years of operation this year. In observance of Head Start awareness, the children released balloons in the air. Each child’s name and the center’s phone number was put in each balloon hoping the person who finds it will contact Head Start. Calhoun City Mayor J.R. Denton and Supervisor Ernest Fox and HeadStart parents were among those attending.
