Fern Innman

Fern Innman, 91, of Banner, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Born February 14, 1923. He was the husband of the late Ruth Miller Innman. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, retired from Big Yank Corporation as a cutter. He was a member of Driver’s Flat Baptist Church where he was a former deacon, and music director. 

Surviving are sons, Milton “Sean” (Marilyn) Innman, Oxford, and Jonathan “Keith” Innman, Banner; sisters, Layla Smith, Water Valley, and Veda Harrison of Mobile, Al.  He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, Arthur Innman and Pearl Appleton Innman by brothers, Cecil McSwain, L.Q. Inman and Tommy Fay Inman, and a sister, May Martindale.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m.  Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stacy Watkins officiating. Interment will be in Drivers Flat Cemetery, Banner. Pallbearers will be Mark Davis, Robert Davis, Andy Gossett, Eddie Harmon, Chad Innman, and Freddie Martin.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, also Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the service at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 Hwy. 9N in Bruce.

Memorial donations may be made to Driver’s Flat Cemetery Fund, 1911 Hwy 315, Water Valley, MS 38965.
