A Calhoun City woman and two of her children are dead after a wreck in Pontotoc county yesterday morning.
Catina McBride, 29, was traveling north in a 2006 Pontiac on Highway 9S of Randolph around 10:15 a.m. Friday when she apparently hit a patch of ice, lost control, and overturned several times.
McBride and her 11 year old daughter, Kaninya Guyton, died on the scene.
Two other children were airlifted to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. Kadiya McBride, 5, died after arriving at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
Eight year old Kashyra Guyton remains in critical condition.
According to Trooper Ray Hall, none of the occupants in the vehicle were using safety belts.
