Charles Dean Parker, 73, of Vardaman, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born September 13, 1941 in Vardaman, the son of Earnest Parker and Elizabeth Ward Parker. He was a retired milk deliveryman for Avents and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at New Liberty Baptist Church in Vardaman with Bro. Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery in Vardaman. Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Parker, Ricky Parker, Ronald Parker, Bryan Allen Long, Bub Long, Steve Long, Donnie Smith and Tony Langford. Honorary pallbearers are his domino playing friends.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Lester Parker, Vardaman; two sons, Dr. Jeff Parker, Tuscaloosa, AL; and Greg Parker, Carthage; one sister, Sue (Gene) Langford, Calhoun City; and one brother, Wayne (Barbara) Parker, Calhoun City; five grandchildren, Brant, John Austin, Andrew, Thomas and Anthony.
