Tyler Boyette pitched a one hit shutout to lead the Vardaman Rams to a 6-0 win over West Union last week.
“It was the best I’ve seen Tyler throw,” Coach Boo Griffin said. “It was the best all around game I’ve seen us ever play.”
Brandon Washington led the offense with four singles. Hunter Spencer and J.C. Hare each hit a double.
It was a rare occasion for the Rams to get on the field. They’ve lost eight games on their schedule to the weather thus far. They hope to get four of them rescheduled.
They are scheduled to host Houlka Wednesday night, travel to TCPS Friday and play at Smithville next Tuesday.
