Doris McGee Haire, 81, of Calhoun City died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born February 1, 1934. in Greenwood, the daughter of Island McGee and Alma Franks McGee. She was retired from Calhoun County Nursing Home as a housekeeper, and she was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 5, from 5-8 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Big Creek with Bro. Jimmy Vance and Bro. John Warren officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Big Creek. Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Kenneth Haire, Keith Haire, Tim Cardwell, Dewayne McGee, Tommy Wilson and Blake Wilson.
She is survived by two sons, Glen Marks, Houston; Roger Haire, West Point; step-daughter, Judy Rogers, Big Creek; two step-sons, Jerry Haire, Vardaman; Steve Haire, Memphis; one sister, Carvie Gore, Thorn; a special friend, Larry Spurill, Calhoun City; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Haire; three sisters, Cawren Hamblen, Goldie Hamblen, and Lucille Moore, and four brothers, Dempsey McGee, Amos McGee, Hex McGee and S.C. McGee.
