Derma will host a public hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 25 regarding their proposed $1.06 million budget for the next fiscal year.
The Derma board has not proposed an increase in the millage rate, but citizens with an increased assessed value on their property will incur an increase in taxes.
Of the more than $1 million budget, 7.7% of that ($82,479) is financed through the local ad valorem tax levy. That's an increase from $77,300 in revenue last year.
All citizens are invited to the 6 p.m. hearing. The board is scheduled to vote on the budget at a Sept. 1 meeting.
