Joy Patterson

Joy Logan Patterson, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Bruce Community Living Center. She was born in Calhoun County on May 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert Odis and Naomi Murphree Logan.  She was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church. Her professional career was a former City Clerk for the town of Bruce, Calhoun County DHS case worker and a substitute teacher. She loved playing Bunco, gardening and reading as her hobbies.

Survivors are her son, Robert Dale (Wanda) Patterson, Bruce; sister Jerry Lee Logan Brasher, Bruce; brother, Robert Clark (Sue) Logan, Tupelo; grandchildren: Stacy Graefe, Calhoun City; Robert Allen Patterson and Ginger Carol Patterson, Bruce; great grandchildren, Britian Nicole Graefe, Peyton Hardin, Tyler, Tristen, Paige and Chloe Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband K.O. Patterson.

Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Clark Logan officiating. Pallbearers will be Mackie Brasher, Mack Owen Brasher III, Steven Hall, Greg Logan, Rodney Logan and Dean Patterson. Honorary pallbearers are Willie Ray Brown, Rex Jarrett, Donny Logan, Robert Edward Oakley, Benny Stewart and Rickie Vaughn. Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery.
