Linda Hutchings Norwood, 60, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at her home in Water Valley. She was born March 18, 1955 in Slayden, to the late John Arthur and Rena Feathers Hutchings. She was an active member of First Pentecostal Church, Pittsboro, who loved the Lord, her pastor and her church family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her family and friends, and she loved her best friend, Sister Wilson. She enjoyed gospel music, decorating for all holidays, fishing, and her dog, “Baby Girl”.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church in Pittsboro. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the First United Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Water Valley. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley, MS is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Lee Norwood, Water Valley; her daughter, Gail (Chris) Allen, Water Valley; three sons, Chris (Patricia) Norwood, Banner; Benny (Kim) Norwood, Water Valley, and George Norwood (Monica Figgett), Abbeville; her sisters, Mildred Gore, Greenwood; Ada (Billy) McGuff, Holcomb, and Joyce Kiddy, Batesville; her brother, George (Martha Kay) Hutchings, Batesville, and 21 grandchildren.
