Justin Hobson, 25, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, DUI other @nd, felony fleeing, no insurance, no driver’s license, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, running three stop signs and failure to yield to traffic.
Bruce Policeman Bryan Roberts said he witnessed Hobson, who was driving a Buick LeSabre, pull out in front of an SUV and then attempted to pull him over.
“As soon as he saw me he took off,” Robert said.
The chase cut through a Bruce neighborhood and entered Hwy. 32 heading east around 9 a.m.
“I tried to stay 200 yards behind him, just trying to keep him in sight,” Roberts said. “He was weaving all over the road, nearly hit several vehicles.”
Roberts said Nathan Brackett was a passenger in the vehicle and twice opened the door to try and jump out of the vehicle, but Hobson refused to slow down. Brackett was not charged with anything.
The chase ended less than a mile from the Houlka town limits when Hobson ran out of gas and pulled to the side of the road.
He was taken into custody without incident.
Last December, Hobson led officers on another high speed chase that ended with a crash in Lafayette County.
Bruce Policeman Mark Hendrix attempted to pull Hobson over for no tag on a Sunday afternoon when Hobson sped away.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, failure to comply with police, no tag, reckless driving, failure to yield to blue lights, no driver’s license, no insurance, DUI first, and fleeing law enforcement officer after that incident.
