Evelyn Logan Earp, 82, of Houlka, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born December 2, 1933 in Calhoun County to Jim E. and Eunice Burt Logan. She was the former co-owner of Earp Farms with her husband and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Houston Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Bean officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Houlka. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers are Timothy Smith, Derek Earp, Dex Earp, Greg Earp, Justin Murphree, Chad Cobb and Brian Adams.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Harmon and her special friend, Ron Nolan, Houlka; sons, Jamie (Joy) Earp, Houlka, and Ricky (Diana) Earp, Houlka; sisters, Clara Mae Beckett, Erma Bryant, Bennie (Charles) Rogers, Martha Rogers, all of Bruce, and Lucille Lafayette, Calhoun City; grandchildren, Karen (Chad) Cobb, Andrea (Brian) Adams, Derek (Danielle) Earp, Dex (Amber) Earp, Mallory (Justin) Murphree, Timothy Smith, and Morgan Earp; great-grandchildren, Logan Winstead, Andrew Winstead, Jack Cobb, Bennon Adams, Adalyn Adams, Greg Earp, Cambry Earp, Caden Earp, Emma Earp, Blake Heair, Brady Murphree, and Chauncey Harrelson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Earp; two brothers, one sister, and grandchild, Sydney Earp.
