Derma hires Larry Bratton as part time worker for public works

Derma board of aldermen agreed to hire Larry Bratton of Calhoun City as part time help for the public works department.

Bratton was hired for $12 an hour as needed with a maximum of 24 hours.
In another matter, the board amended the Nov. 4 minutes concerning fire department rebate money. Any leftover money would have to be returned to the state.

Clerk Deneen Russell found $5,000 more in invoices that could be used with those funds.
Mayor Dock Gabbert noted that the Walmart grand opening will be Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 a.m.

Clerk Deneen Russell reported bad debts–Crystal Rodriguez, Princess Williams and Ariel Edmund Martinez.
City Hall will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 for Dr. Martin Luther King and Robert E. Lee Day.
Alderwoman Kendra Wright was not at the meeting.
